Matt Corrente

As a former NHL player for the New Jersey Devils as a defence man and spending nearly a decade playing professionally, Matt Corrente has created a training system devised to focus on helping to develop the hockey player’s of tomorrow. After facing adversity throughout his time playing professionally, understanding the ups and downs of injuries along with the pressures of the game, has lead Matt to becoming a top coach for young players. Spending much of his life surrounded by elite coaches and trainers, he has transformed his passion and talent to provide hands on instruction and advice to aspiring hockey players. This wealth of knowledge has allowed for Matt to give players a solid foundation for succeeding in hockey, both physically and mentally. Matt is always striving to be the best, and wants every child to succeed to the next level of their own individual goals. He has developed Next Pro Hockey with a concrete focus on individual skill levels to ensure that each player can succeed at his/her pace. Since retiring, Matt’s sole focus has been on sharing his talents and passion with the next generation of superstars.

Awards and Accomplishments: OJHL Rookie All-Star, OHA Top Prospect Award, CHL Top Prospect, Hardest Shot Record Holder (99.7mph), First Round (2nd Overall) OHL Draft 2004, First Round (30th Overall) NHL Draft 2006
